An alien emerges from a flower. It looks around, uncertain. Knees bend and arms raise—an imitation of prayer. It sings a melancholy song in an unrecognizable language.
Praylien was presented in Green Archives at Art Enables (Washington, DC) alongside Laura Grothaus and collaborative drawings with Mara Clawson, Egbert “Clem” Evans, Debora Green, Vanessa Monroe, Gary Murrell, and Imani Turner.
